Hello all you awesome Backers!

This is a very nice pic:

I'm waiting for my flight to Hong Kong, and then a shuttle to the factory in mainland China. I'm very excited to get to this point in our journey. I'll be working on getting the production setup with quality approvals, as well as looking for other great accessories and tools. Within the next week I'll have more definitive knowledge of our assembly and shipping calendar. I'll post more frequently to let everyone see the developments as they happen.

Brief update on Shotbox and Comic Con!

Hello everyone,

We've been busy keeping on schedule with testing, factory work and developing out the accessory products. We're excited that everything is still on track for November for Kickstarter orders.

Some exciting and crazy fun news is that we had a booth at the Salt Lake Comic Con last week. If you've never been to one of these shows, consider going if you're near one of the venues. There were over 120,000 nutty, nerdy and geeky people there. We had a ton of fun interacting with them. See the photos below! There's nothing like having Darth Vadar and Batman holding our Shotbox sign :)

A BIG, RIDICULOUSLY LARGE THANK YOU IS IN ORDER!

The last 45 days has been awesome. I've appreciated the engagement, feedback and support of each of you. This project means everything to me. It's refined me and helped me focus on what it is that I can bring into this world. There's so much more under the hood, but we start with getting the box into your hands. 

Throughout this campaign I've also been very focused on development and the factory. In fact, I've made sure that there are NO time delays from my end of things. If they needed something, I dropped everything else and addressed it with focused intensity. Sometimes that meant I went off the radar for a day or two. This priority will continue, of course. The march for October delivery is 110%. I will be building out accessories along the way, which I'll announce as they progress.

You might have noticed the front support legs in the photo above. This is a VERY important and critical addition to the stability of the box. I'll go more into detail of that in another post.

3 days left! Lets finish this out STRONG and move into manufacturing

So here we are, with 3 days left. Thank you for making it happen! I hope to bring you guys a great finished product. Here are some updates:

We received some great pics from the factory on the last prototype. Very excited about this. We have also started the tooling for the injection molds. This process takes the better part of a month and a half for all of the molds, so we've been focused on making sure all the last details are perfect. There's been some great improvements over the last 30 days that make the SHOTBOX even better including front support metal legs that swing up when needed. This gives a phenomenally strong top surface to securely hold heavier devices or cameras. This is a much needed addition. It took a little more time to engineer in, but we're still looking at October shipping for the Kickstarter pledges.  (You get them first!)

We are sitting over $77,000 with 10 days left and we can't believe it! We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the success of this campaign. I can't emphasize enough how important this project is to me, personally and to my team. 

We wanted to announce today that ALL SHOTBOX backers will have the choice of getting a limited edition run of the Shotbox with a Kickstarter GREEN logo. We won't be offering this option to anyone in the future.
